We all love and use open-source projects in our daily work, and as a Platform Engineer, you are most likely a focal point for one or several open-source projects.

You spend time learning them, ensuring they are well integrated into your stack, and often also support various teams with knowledge sharing and education.

This talk will discuss why you and every Platform Engineer should share this context and contribute back to open-source products. We’ll cover how it will make you a better engineer and ways to convince your boss why it benefits the organization.
