Forto's journey: Building a product management practice within the SRE team

In this session Askar will take you through the journey of building up product management practices within the SRE team at Forto. The experience we’ll share is aimed to help people and organisations starting that journey, navigate more easily when it comes to building the right platform in the right way.

Recently there has been a rising trend of developing platforms as a product. However there is very little structured knowledge on how to actually integrate product management best practices into your platform development. Which makes navigating through the platform development immensely difficult. 

In this talk I would like to guide you through that journey based on my experiences at Forto and take a look at: 

- How and where to start as a new product manager on a platform team

- Product development best practices that we have introduced to drive success

- Problems and obstacles we’ve encountered 

- Important journey milestones
